Ancienne station de pompage muée en l’un des musées phares de l’ancienne capitale industrielle du nord, The People’s History Museum est un endroit dédié à l’histoire de la classe ouvrière anglaise. Actuellement utilisé pour des showrooms et des événements, The Old Engine a une capacité d’accueil entre 150 à 200 places assises (ou debout). Relié au musée tout en étant légèrement à l’écart, l’ambiance y est cosy et très conviviale. Incroyablement lumineux grâce à la verrière et aux sept grandes baies vitrées sur rue, il allie caractéristiques édouardiennes d’époque à une déco contemporaine : murs en briques apparentes, sols en béton, plafond en bois et suspensions chics, fixées sur des rails design. À un jet de pierre de la gare Salford Central, The People’s History Museum est facile d’accès. En plein centre-ville, il est à proximité de plusieurs lieux très huppés, comme l’hôtel 5 étoiles Radisson Blu Edwardian et le restaurant The French – By Simon Rogan.

If you are directly selling in the space you will need to have public liability insurance and a market license, which can be obtained via the local council. All clients and contractors must have public liability insurance of £5 million for an event.
Unless otherwise expressed in writing by the landlord all artwork displayed will remain on the walls.
Under no circumstances must a client or person connected to the venue hire event interfere with or damage the exhibitions or property of the museum. Any damage to the museum’s collections, exhibitions, fixtures and fittings caused by the client or person connected to the venue hire event will be charged to the client at replacement cost.
Under no circumstances must food or drink be brought into the People’s History Museum. Only food or drink purchased from the museum’s on-site cafe bar The Left Bank may be consumed on the premises.
